Not a brand. A birthplace, arrived at through years of weight, resistance, and rebuilding. The work here is large, honest, and direct. A deliberate rejection of the irony and cynicism that dominate so much of contemporary art, in favor of something more demanding and more generous: the raw, immersive experience of paint that has earned everything on it.
